Recent Cases: Administrative Law
Here are some recent highlights of administrative law cases handled by Auger Hollingsworth:
Access to health services -- Our client's home health care services were reinstated as a result of our pursuit of an administrative appeal. Our client was also awarded legal costs.
Education Law -- In December 2006, a local school
agreed to accommodate a student with serious learning disabilities following our
firm’s intervention.
Education Law -- In October 2006, we negotiated a favourable resolution for
our client who was accused of plagiarizing a graduate-level term paper. The
student was permitted to continue in her program.
Education Law -- In June 2006, a local school board agreed to remove a suspension from our client's school record following our intervention on the client's behalf.
Motor Vehicle Dealer's License -- In February 2006 we succeeded in having the Tribunal overturn the decision by the registrar of motor vehicles to deny our client's application for a license.
Alcohol License -- In January 2006 we negotiated a favourable resolution for our bar-owner client who faced a loss of his liquor licence.
Rideau Regional Centre -- In January 2006 we obtained a Divisional Court order preventing the Province of Ontario from transferring residents of Rideau Regional Centre to group homes without consent.
